Oh my God! I'm in a school pool, wearing full scuba gear and two diving experts are watching over me. And I know how to swim too. It's so scary!
Summary:
It's the first day of club activities for the diving club. Club supervisor Katori-sensei and members Hikari and Futaba meet at the school swimming club fully dressed up in scuba gear, and the main goal of the day is teach Futaba how to breathe underwater. It's Futaba's first time using scuba equipment, and understandably she's a little nervous. On the first few tries water leaks into Futaba's mask, which prompts her to surface. Katori-sensei teaches Futaba how to blow out the water, but water keeps entering Futaba's mask, prompting her to surface again. Futaba is about to give up, but Hikari convinces Futaba to give it one more shot and this time Hikari helps position Futaba's mask so water doesn't leak in. While Futaba and Hikari play around in the water, Katori-sensei explains the importance of the buddy system and states that Futaba and Hikari are now diving buddies.

The good news is we finally have some scuba diving. The bad news is they're scuba diving in a swimming pool. I guess it's one step at a time since Futaba is complete newbie at diving, so the experts Katori-sensei and Hikari must train her before they can go on a dive in the sea. The chapter itself went in a pretty predictable manner, with the meek Futaba ready to give up just because of one tiny setback and her fearless buddy Hikari coming to the rescue. So basically it was 32 pages of not much happening. Last chapter was a bit refreshing since it was Futaba taking the initiative, but looks like everyone has fallen back to their old roles again.
One thing I'm a little surprised about is that Hikari and Futaba seem to be the only members of the diving clubs. This is a real scuba diving club, people, with free lessons and equipment use (maybe they are small fees, so not necessarily free). If my high school had such a club I would have definitely joined. It'd would have been nice if my high school had such a big swimming pool too. Anyways, the obvious reason for the low membership count is so that no one can interrupt the bonding process between Hikari and Futaba lol, but I think more characters will be introduced along the way.

Now we know that they will be using bottles, not just snorkel pipe. Otherwise, in the navy it is said one diver is no diver, two divers make half a diver, three divers make one diver. Maybe the requirements are more relaxed for recreational scuba, so Pikari and Ooki can dive without Ms. Mato?

Aqua/Aria was essentially 60 chapters of manga and 53 part of anime of not much happening. Usually they spent 1/4th-1/3 or each chapter or episode cooking and eating, another 1/3rd putting on weird SD faces, etc. Want action, watch Naruto!

Not familiar with navy procedures lol. Anyways, I'm guessing that all three will go dive together at first, but Futaba and Hikari will dive by themselves eventually.

It was "not much happening" compared to the previous chapters.
I read Naruto, but I don't watch the anime since I'm not a fan of fillers.
The higher-year students probably know enough about Katori Mato sensei's true personality to avoid the scuba club at all costs... She'll probably start to beat the girls with a kendo sword if they are not smart enough!
