Tsukune has really fallen... now he's beating up seniors.
Summary:
Kurumu looks at the transformed Tsukune and wonders what went wrong. Tsukune tries to attack Kurumu, but Touhou had erected a barrier to keep Tsukune in and that saves Kurumu. Touhou explains that Tsukune has turned into his Ghoul form and thus has lost his humanity. Kurumu tries to intervene but she is kept outside by the barrier. Kurumu begs Touhou to save Tsukune, and after thinking for a bit Touhou decides he should put the final needle into Tsukune's heart to complete the technique and that should knock Tsukune out for the moment. Touhou goes about his plan, but Tsukune is much faster than expected and hammers Touhou into the ground with a big punch. The impact of Touhou hitting the ground is heard all over the mirror world, which alerts the others that something is wrong.
With Touhou down for the moment, Tsukune walks up to Kurumu again but just stands there. Touhou gets back up and tells Kurumu to get away from Tsukune. Touhou recognizes that through Moka, Tsukune now has the some of Alucard's blood and must be stopped, and thus Touhou powers up and plans to kill Tsukune with his Dimensional Sword technique. Unwilling to let Tsukune be killed, Kurumu tries to force her way through the barrier despite Touhou's warnings. Kurumu states that Tsukune is the most important thing to her and that Tsukune hasn't completely lost his humanity just yet. Kurumu actually breaks through the barrier and kisses Tsukune on the lips before falling unconscious, and Touhou uses the distraction to put the final needle into Tsukune's heart. Tsukune instantly reverts back to his human form and falls down to the ground. Knowing that the needle alone would not bring Tsukune back to human form, Touhou concludes that Kurumu must have done something to bring Tsukune back and admits that Kurumu has outdone him this time.

A resolution through The Power of Love... but sometimes the Power of Love is awesome. It looks like any speculation of a harem breakup was premature as Kurumu still appears to be firmly implanted in Tsukune's camp. Harem ending is still on track! Kurumu really showed her mettle this chapter, and what's more she actually got Tsukune's first kiss (at least the first one I remember between Tsukune and any of his girls). I wonder if Kurumu will ever mention the fact to the other girls, as it'd be fun to see their (especially Moka's) reactions. Hopefully this will bring Kurumu out of the slump she has been in for the last two chapters.
Tsukune appears to be back to human form for the moment and is probably powered-up now through Touhou's needle technique, but his vampire/ghoul powers are more dangerous than ever to himself and everyone nearby. As some people had already figured, Tsukune has some of Alucard's blood through Moka, and down the line this may mean that if the bad guys want to wake Alucard up they may be able to use Tsukune instead of Moka. If the bad guys ever learn about Tsukune's blood then it'll be bad news for the good guys. That's probably what will happen though.
It is bad if we support the Harem ending?
ReplyDeleteI really liked the focus on Kurumu recently. One of the things that I disliked from the anime (besides the way they just ignored manga canon) Is how they just ignored most of the cast's personality and growth.
Take Kurumu for example. In the manga more often than not she ends up being one leading the team on the action (Moka tends to take the lonely warrior part) while in the anime she is just the "big boobs girl."
Nice way how Tsukune having Alucard's blood explain things. His Ghoul personality even seems like an evil and mindless Alucard (from Hellsing), not that Alucard is a good guy by any extent of the imagination...
Thanks for the summary. You go Kurumu, thanks for bringing Tsukune back to his senses. Now that Kurumu has kissed Tsukune, does this mean that Tsukune will then become her permanent slave since she is Succubus?
ReplyDeleteno, for that to happen she needs to willingly make him her slave, and as she has said many times, she realized that she didnt want him as a slave, she wanted him to like her for who she is and not be a mindless zombie

Haven't watched the anime, but I heard it wasn't good so I don't plan on watching it. The development on Kurumu is nice, and makes it less likely that she'll give up on Tsukune.

The anime is actualy really good, but if youve read the anime its a 50% chance that you wont like it and vice versa, like reading a book then watching the movie. some people like both, others do not

ReplyDeleteThe harem ending is a fact! Aono likes Moka, the others being just friends in his eyes! Besides, Moka doesn't want to be just another woman to him!
Kurumu might have used her magic to bring him back to his human form when she kissed him! All monsters are capable of using some type of magic!
Megz brings up a very good point. The first thing I thought of once she kissed him was there's something bout a succubus' power when they kiss anyone. I'll have to go back into the first series' chapters and look that up.

Chapter 2 page 22 is what they were referring to.
"A male who receives a kiss from a succubus is doomed to be her slave for all eternity."
So, if they keep that going then Moka is technically screwed since Tsukune is now Kurumu's slave for all eternity.
@Anonymous 3 & 4: Well, it's not like that. Basically they have to use an ability to make them their slaves! It's not a simple kiss! Besides the eternity stuff is folk tales! In fact they probably have a way to break the spell! I bet she didn't use that ability since she is so worked up about winning him on her own.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous 4: Tsukune is going to be screwed, not Moka! If Tsukune is Kurumu's slave then he is out of the picture, not Moka! The series is about Moka after all (Rosario + Vampire <=> rosary & vampire)! Anyway, it's not a simple kiss. Besides, the "victim" has to be under her "charm" first!
ReplyDeleteTsukune isn't Kurumu's slave, what Kurumu kissed was Tsukune's Alucard-like form that he was in it was a "false" first kiss, Tsukune's lips and life belongs to Moka and her alone, that is why Ikeda allowed Kurumu to kiss him in that state.
ReplyDeleteTsukune won't even know that Kurumu kissed him, unless he is told, however it won't change anything other than that Kurumu has reached a conclusion like Mizore has and will keep chasing after Tsukune until Moka and Tsukune finally get together in the end.
But for now Kurumu serves an important role, with Moka temporarily gone, Kurumu has filled in the spot for looking after Tsukune and keeping his dark side under control, just like Akua has filled in Tsukune's spot for looking after Moka.

ReplyDeleteI'd be happy if Tsukune ends up with Moka but I'll be even more glad if they do an harem ending. Can't remember any anime/manga who actually worked it out. I heard it happened in Tenchi Muyo but I never saw it... Trouble is gunning at it too.
I'm really happy nothing bad happened to Kurumu, for two chapters her death flag was everywhere and I really thought Ikeda would just kill her off, or make Gin die while protecting her from Tsukune. Nice thing there was this barrier.
I was right. She did the thing she did when they got Aono, TF and Mizore out of Moka's dream when she kissed him! Aono will have to control this ego of his!
ReplyDeleteI doubt this is going to end in a harem thing. I get the feeling that Moka knows what complications that will bring! Kokoa and Kahlua's mother (they are sisters - the same mother and the same father) apparently hates Moka. I think she is aware of this! Once the girls will understand why she doesn't want a harem they will get on with their lives (probably waiting for him and Moka to split up so they can have a chance)!
If she does accept the harem idea the girls will have listen to her (she would be the leader, capable of deciding everyone's amount of time with him and order)!
In these kind of series, chances are the guy ends up with the lead girl or the show ends inconclusively... Honestly I'd be surprised if it was a real harem ending, but it's a possibility.

ReplyDeleteI dunno if there will be a "season 3" per se since this "season" of the manga isn't over yet. Kurumu caught up a bit, but Moka is the main girl and that'll probably never change.

This is probably still a long ways off(considering how slow the releases are lol)but i can't wait till they go and try and rescue moka i wonder what moka will say if tsukune comes bashing through her door and says "comon moka we're getting you outta here!" Lolz cant wait
