See kids, this is why steroids are bad for you.
Summary:
Hordy's squad captains (including the guy who was beaten up by Fukaboshi) cause trouble throughout the kingdom before they head towards the site of King Neptune's planned execution. Meanwhile, Fukaboshi and his brothers are heading there as well with plans to stop Hordy. Elsewhere on the island, the two ministers and King Neptune's army fun into trouble against one of the sea beasts employed by the New Fishman Pirates. At the moment, the ministers spot Hordy and King Neptune overhead being carried by the remaining Sea Beasts. The pirates on the ground notice that Hordy isn't looking too good, and the pirates on the sea beasts explain that Hordy has been popping lots of pills to keep himself standing after being injured by Zoro. Suddenly, Hordy bends over in pain and lets out a blood-curdling scream, and even the sea beasts start trembling in fear.

This chapter is just setup for the upcoming big battle at Hordy's planned public execution of King Neptune, and Hordy's secondary commanders all receive some panels to preview what they can do. Before that can happen though, it looks like Hordy popped one pill too many and has finally overdosed on the 'roids. We'll see if he goes on a steroid-induced rampage now. My guess is that Hordy will become unbelievably strong with a shit load of muscles for the time being, but when the high wears down he'll be finished. Isn't this how all fictional "instant steroids" work?
Since Luffy and Jinbe hasn't resolved their differences yet, it'll be up to Fukaboshi and company to disrupt the execution for now.

This showed us how strong Zori is. Hordy, you can put all of your steroid-lover-with-little-Weiner goons in line against Zori, he will slice them one by one!
ReplyDeleteI died a little: Blah, Hammer guy, Blah, Hyozou, blah, Cockroach guy, Blah, Squid Guy, Blah, Squid Guy again, Hordy and the end. I hate those good for nothing goons. I hope they all get their asses handed for being so pathetic... especially the squid guy, there is a fiery place in hell for you.
Most likely Hordy will turn into a beast, and better that way so he can fall from an ever higher place and being the fatass he is he will probably "sink" (they are undersea boh!) the island.
Caribou is still on the loose, keep an eye on him!
One of the amusing little things to do with (re)introduce-the-villains chapters like these is to consider the matchups. This is a shonen manga, we're gonna get fights.
ReplyDeleteSo, my prediction so far: Sanji VS octopus guy (fire legs beat dried octopus, AND he's got a food theme going), Zoro VS drunken swordsman (he's got three swords, duh), Franky VS DosunBagoonKaboom (they're both huge and powerful), Chopper VS KYAKYAKYA hungry jaws guy (they're both short, and Chopper gets to run around in a panic for a while), Robin and/or Nami VS Caribou (tasty ladies! Gonna eat you then sell you~), Usopp VS whatshisname with the auto-target ability (auto-aim VS mouse-aim. HAX!). And of course Luffy and Jinbe VS Hordymon (digivolved from Hordy via eeeevil steroids).
Dunno where the ol' afro skeleton fits in. I'm sure it's not going to be a straight one-on-one thing in any of the battles either way, and hey, there're always fish goons.
@Daniel
ReplyDeleteIt is harder to swim with too much muscle since buoyancy will decrease haha.
@MrP
Yeah it was the classic shounen action re-introduce villain line-up before a battle. Those match-up sound plausible enough.
Brook... worst comes to worst, he can provide the background music lol.
