Oh yeah big bro Decil, I'm now your boss. Amazing the things that can happen while you were asleep, huh?
Summary:
In an asteroid field, Zeheart tests his Zedas R with upgrades to better keep up with his X-Rounder abilities, but the upgrades fail midway through the high speed test and so Zeheart decides to wait for his new mobile suit the red Zeydra. After returning to base, Zeheart visits his older brother Decil who just woke up from stasis. Zeheart informs Decil that he is now the general of the Earth invasion, and Decil is not too happy about that. Zeheart returns to the command bridge to plans to attack the Diva yet again. The goal is either to obtain or destroy the AGE device which is located in the chest area of the Gundam. Zeheart will be on the mission this time, and he predicts that the Diva will take the route through an asteroid field in order to avoid combat. Zeheart checks out his new mobile suit, and he is handed a mask /goggle which "stabilizes" his X-Rounder powers so the mobile suit can keep up with him.
In the times of war, you can't just eat casually; you have to Woolf your food down.
Get it? Woolf and wolf... okay yeah that was lame.
Zeheart's prediction is correct and the Diva is traveling through the asteroid field. On the Diva, Asemu thinks about the prospect of having to fight Zeheart, but Arisa spanks him and tells him to cheer up. The alarms suddenly ring and everyone is called to battle stations. Woolf, Asemu and the rest of the mobile suit team launch into space after Veigan mobile suits are detected. The Divas detect some Baqtos and Dorados, but there is also one unknown mobile suit approaching fast, and that mobile suit is the Zeydra piloted by Zeheart. The grunt Veigans tie up Woolf and the other members of the Diva team, leaving Asemu to face Zeheart in single combat. After a few sword clashes, Asemu figures out his opponent is Zeheart. Zeheart flies way to bait Asemu, and Asemu follows despite Woolf telling him to pull back. Asemu catches up to Zeheart and the battle continues. Zeheart uses his X-Rounder powers to knock the swords out of the Gundam's hands and drive the Gundam into an asteroid via the Red Comet Kick. Zeheart has Asemu's Gundam pinned down, but he purposely misses the stab. Zeheart tells Asemu that he has neither the skills or heart to fight in this war and tells Asemu not to appear in the battlefront again before leaving. Zeheart and his cohorts retreat back to their ships. At the hangar inside the Veigan ship, Decil tells Zeheart that he knows Zeheart let the Gundam go on purpose and wonders what'll happen if he tells this to their superiors.
Dualie vs. Dualie
Super Massive Mega Red Comet Kick of Absolute Death!!!!
Back at the Diva, Asemu locks himself in his room to sulk about Zeheart. Millais wants to go in and give Asemu a lecture, but Woolf advises her to give Asemu some alone time.

Many Gundam series have a Char Aznable clone, and so here we have Zeheart donning the iconic mask goggles, getting a red mobile suit, and doing the Red Comet kick all in the same episode. It was the Zeheart show this week, and as such Asemu gets beat again in a mobile suit battle. I would have to say that the battle between the AGE-2 and the Zeydra this episode was probably the best space battle that this series has shown thus far. It had fast paced beam sword action, and ended with an over the top Red Comet Kick. The AGE-2 Gundam is certainly not inferior to the Zeydra in capability, but despite his strong showing last week Asemu isn't quite at the same level as Zeheart at the moment. Understandably, Asemu is feeling terrible after the fight. He doesn't want to fight Zeheart because he sees Zeheart as a friend, and at the same time he has to honor his father's expectations but he isn't quite good enough to beat Zeheart. I'm sure Asemu will get the X-Rounder powers sooner or later to even the playing field, especially given that Flit somehow got the power. From the look of the preview, Asemu might get some training from Flit himself.
As for Zeheart, he didn't want to kill Asemu and let Asemu go, but this decision will likely come back to bite him. We finally see Decil once again and he is indeed Zeheart's brother as indicated by their last names. Decil is grown up and as expected a bit bitter due to his defeat at Flit's hands years before and also due to the fact that now Zeheart is ranked higher than him. I'm sure Decil will try to screw Zeheart over if he gets the chance. I'm also interested to see if Decil will ever get another rematch against Flit. Zeheart is Asemu's rival, but he doesn't have the personality to be the outright villain... at least not yet, so maybe Decil will fill the role again.

at least the 3 times as fast reference got shuffled around this time...
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm not enough of a Gundam fan to remember that one haha.
DeleteYeah have to think letting Asemu go again will bite him. He should know that the AGE system doesn't forgive that kind of thing. Hard to say if it will change too much, but the power of Zeheart's unit should give the system some ideas. Funny he calls out Asemu about not being able to shoot him, but he can't kill him either.
ReplyDeleteAsemu won't be able to match up without X Rounder abilities. Otherwise he's fighting a tough battle.
I liked Decil more as a kid. I do wonder what kind of role he'll play. The darker person who will try to kill Asemu? Someone who will go after Flit (who could face him in AGE-1 since its free) or maybe Decil will just betray Zeheart. He does enjoy killing people that family cares about after all.
I enjoyed the fight though.
Zeheart should have tried to take the AGE device while letting Asemu survive, but then again that would have been quite difficult.
DeleteI'm not surprised that Decil turned out the way he did. He was a bit out of control as a kid, and his defeat at Flit's hands certainly didn't help.
Arisa might be a better MS pilot if she cut her bangs so she could use BOTH eyes. Depth perception FTW.
ReplyDeleteAnime eyes see through hair, and also the pilots are looking at screens instead of directly outside, so depth perception shouldn't really be an issue... unless they have 3D screens or something.
