Straw Hats corrupting innocent children into becoming pirates. For shame.
Summary:
During the party/discussion, Luffy decides that out of the Four Emperors, he will go after Kaidou first despite Law warning that Kaidou is extremely formidable. Law the Straw Hats depart on the Thousand Sunny and leaves the tanker to the Marines to take the kids, and the kids and marines say goodbye to the pirates.
Doflammingo is still flying over the ocean when he spots the tanker life raft with Baby 5 and Buffalo's heads (that Law had cut off using his powers) tied to the mast. There is also a Denden Mushi on the raft connected to Law, and Law gets Doflammingo's attention by reminding him that Kaidou won't be happy if he learns Doflammingo can't produce the artificial Zoan fruits anymore. For the return of Ceasar, Law demands that Doflammingo step down from his position as Royal Shichibukai by tomorrow's newspaper issue. Law hangs up afterwards, and Doflammingo is not exactly pleased.

The Punk Hazard arc is over, and One Piece moves on quickly with the story. By going after Ceasar and Doflammingo's operation of producing Smile, it seems logical for Law to go after Kaidou first. Law wasn't encouraging Luffy to do it, but maybe Law is just using reverse psychology on Luffy. Doflammingo does not make it to Punk Hazard in time, and now Law's little play has put Doflammingo in a bind as even Doflammingo doesn't want to mess with Kaidou. Doflammingo is unlikely to locate Ceasar by himself before the deadline, so it looks like he'll have to quit being a Shichibukai. The repercussions of this can be far reaching and will be interesting to see.

Kaidou is a real beast if even Doflamingo is afraid of him.
ReplyDeleteI was going to rage for the kid's drama eating the chapter but the end made up for it! One Piece is on fire again, don't you agree?
Doflamingo stated pre-timeskip that he can drop the title when he wants if things get boring. Maybe the new marine led by Sakazuki is too much even for Doflamingo?
Things are getting interesting again now that Law is making his plays. The new Marines are likely a lot more aggressive with Sakazuki at the helm, so Doflammingo might not want trouble from them either.
