The history of Isshin.

Looks like Isshin has always been the jokester. Gotta love shiny boobs though

Summary:
Outside of Nimaiya's shack, Nimaiya knows Renji didn't stick up for Ichigo because he knew Nimaiya's process didn't work for him. Nimaiya states that he keeps track of every asauchi that becomes zanpukto and it's impossible to release a zanpukto without an asuachi, so Ichigo is going to have to find out more about himself in order to proceed.

Isshin gives his flashback: sometime ago, Isshin, who is from a branch of the Shiba family, was the captain of the 10th Division, with Rangiku as his vice-captain and Hitsugaya as his 3rd seat. Isshin spends most of his time trying dodge doing paperwork and joking around with Rangiku and Hitsugaya. One day, Hitsugaya gives Isshin a report that states that three shinigamis have been killed at the city of Narukishi. Isshin goes off alone to investigate. Rangiku tries to follow, but Hitsugaya advises her not to because she'd just get in the way.

Meanwhile, Aizen and his conspirators are planning to continue their hollowfication experiments and draw out Shinji's group.

Some pretty interesting info. Apparently Isshin was still a captain in fairly recent times, and both Hitsugaya and Rangiku served under him. Given that, I'm not sure how Hitsugaya and Rangiku couldn't figure out that Ichigo was their former captain's son, or maybe they knew but didn't want to tell Ichigo for some reason. The other important info about Isshin is that he's a Shiba, which probably explains why Ichigo resembled Kaien. So Ichigo is actually related to Kukaku and Ganju lol. From the sound of things, it looks like Isshin is going to run into one of Aizen's hollow experiments and get beaten up, and then his future wife Masaki is going to show up and save him. Aizen would probably keep tabs on Isshin since it was hinted that he knew Ichigo's real roots. Let's see if we get any more surprises from this flashback.
