Haha you thought I was using up all your long distance minutes, didn't ya?
Cang Du tells Bazz-B to buzz off as he will use Hitsugaya's bankai to finish Hitsugaya and Rangiku who Cang Du had caught and dumped beside Hitsugaya.
Meanwhile at the Shinigami R&D center, Mayuri hears from Urahara that he had developed a way to steal back the bankais and prevent them from being stolen. Not being a fan of Urahara, Mayuri tries to remove whatever bug that Urahara had placed in his outfit, but Urahara emerges from Dangai and reveals that he was just messing with Mayuri. Urahara then asks to work together with Mayuri and use Mayuri's "shadow-less" space so they can go about without Quincy interference.
In the lighted space, Mayuri's underlings go about pinpointing the locations of all captains, and Urahara has a bunch of hollowfication pills that are to be transported to the captains. Mayuri and Urahara have a discussion on Urahara's findings. In Hollow Land, Urahara observed that Quincies do not steal arrancar resureccions, even though fundamentally they are somewhat similar to bankais. Mayuri also observes that Quincies have a need to exterminate hollows even though hollows have no culture or society. The only conclusion they come to is that the existence of hollows is poisonous to Quincies, and thus Quincies cannot steal resurreccions and must exterminate hollows. With that in mind, the hollowfications pills are teleported to the captains, and with a touch from the captains their bankais will be hollowfied and be harmful to the Quincies who stole them.
Back outside, Hitsugaya touches the pill, and his bankai starts to fail on Cang Du.
Urahara is still the man haha. So the answer to stealing back the bankais is... hollowfication? That's a pretty interesting revelation. The explanation that Urahara and Mayuri gave made sense and is supported by the fact that Ichigo's mother was in big trouble when she was bitten by Aizen's experimental hollow. If hollowfication is the answer, does that mean that all of the Vizard captains like Shinji Hirako already have a leg up on the Sternritters? And does this mean that all captains will become Vizard-like with hollow mask power ups? That opens up some pretty interesting possibilities. I find it funny that Aizen's hollowfication research may end up saving the shinigamis from destruction, although even at this point we don't know what Aizen was really trying accomplish (if he had succeeded in getting to the Soul King).
Urahara's pill comes just in time to save Hitsugaya and probably Sui-Feng's behinds. Looks like round 2 will start once the captains take back their bankais.
