Sanji's flames are not quite hot enough to roast a flamingo.
Sanji attacks Doflamingo in midair with kicks, but Doflamingo blocks the kicks and then stops Sanji from moving using his ability. Doflamingo brings out a heated whip to finish Sanji, but Law uses his Shambles and Room abilities to get himself, Caesar and Sanji back on the Sunny. Law tells Nami and the Straw Hats to head for Zou after learning from Sanji that the others have located the Smile factory, and Sanji wonders why Law is so fixated with Doflamingo. Fujitora uses his gravitation powers to lift his Marine battleship off Green Bit and the Sunny comes attack from cannon fire and Fujitora's meteors, but Law redirects one of the meteors into the battleship which forces Fujitora and the Marines to retreat back to Dressrosa. Doflamingo launches his whip at the Sunny and wraps it around Law's sword. Law tells the Straw Hats to head to a place with no clouds as Doflamingo can hook his strings to clouds to fly. Chopper activates the Coup de Burst to launch the Sunny away, and Law grabs Jora and reappears on the bridge to face Doflamingo. Doflamingo wonders why Law only directed half of the Straw Hats to escape, and Law states that his alliance with the Straw Hats ends now, and his goal all along was to stop the production of Smile. While Law is sure that Doflamingo will incur the wrath of Kaidou after the Smile production is halted, Law wants to settle personal score with Doflamingo dating back 13 years.
The chapter unfolded in the expected direction as Sanji, Nami and cohorts escape with Caesar in tow, but the surprising thing is that Law elected to stay to face Doflamingo one on one. Sanji was no match for Doflamingo on his own, but with Law's help at least the Straw Hats are able to escape. I doubt Sanji and company will ditch the rest of the crew, so they're probably not headed to Zou. As for Law, apparently he didn't have some grand scheme after taking out Doflamingo, as his goal was to take down Doflamingo by stopping the production of Smile. It seems like Law has a deep hatred for Doflamingo dating back 13 years, although facing Doflamingo one on one at this point doesn't seem like the smartest idea. Law is pretty strong and will do better than Sanji, but he's already a bit beat up from fighting Doflamingo and Fujitora and Doflamingo is probably still stronger. I wonder if Law will be able to survive this encounter, but before that we might get some flashback as to what started the history between Doflamingo and Law.
